IIITM GWALIOR cordially invites you to show your talent on the platform of “La Ingenious” –the open software contest under the umbrella of techno-management fest Infotsav 2010 (29-31 Oct, 2010).
It is one of the  most accolades winning technical event of the festival providing a platform to judge the feasibility and usefulness of software. In-fact it’s an opportunity for all those who have the ability to carve their stimulating ideas into creating path-breaking software. 
This event has been collaborated with SF-FOSS (Students Forum for Free Open Source Software) which has collaborations with NRC-FOSS and SUN MICROSYSTEMS. "Creativity is thinking up new things. Innovation is doing new things.."
We eagerly look forward for the great minds to come up with some great ideas. Bring out the best in you integrating technology with creativity and innovations that reflects the talent in you to excel and leave an impact. All you have to do is to develop a software. Rest will follow automatically..
Phase 1: Online      · Students currently pursuing education in a recognized institute are allowed to participate in the event.
     · Students from different colleges can form a single team.
     · Team Size : Maximum Team Size can be 4 and Minimum Team Size shall be 2.
     · Teams are required to register at Infotsav 2010 website.
     · All teams have to mail  the abstract of their project to the given email id
     · Abstract should not exceed 5 pages (Font: Times New Roman/Arial, Size : 11 Points) Phase 2: Online      · Teams would be selected directly for the on-campus round based on their abstracts. They will be
         informed via e-mail and will be provided full detail about hospitality and other concerns.
     · Each team is supposed to mail the complete project including the source code to
         the given email id in zipped form before the notified time in the mail. We treat all the uploaded
         files as very confidential and they would be used only for judging decisions.
     · The zipped file must contain
             a.  Source code of the software developed
             b.  Complete Team Information (teaminfo. pdf)
             c.  The Project Report (report. pdf)
             d.  A working version of the software which will be demonstrated during the online phase.
         Format of Project Report is mentioned below:-
           a.   The motivation behind the project, and what it does.
           b.  Design of your Project, preferably with the help of flowcharts/diagrams.
           c.   The algorithms and methods used in each part.
           d.   Your original contribution towards the solution of the problem, you have tried to solve.
           e.  The commercial value, utility and expected market Size of the software and its implications.
         The challenge is completely open. There is no restriction on platform you choose for building the
         software. Please inform us in advance for any hardware or software requirements for demonstration
         purpose so that we can arrange accordingly.
         The selected teams for the on-campus round have to give the confirmation of their arrival for the on-
         campus competition. Phase 3 : On-Campus Round          All   the   selected   teams   will   get   a   chance   to   present   their   project   during   Infotsav   2010(29th   to   31st
         October, 2010).
         Please also bring the Hard Copy of the Project Report.
         The judging criteria would incorporate
             a.  your project report
             b.  your software robustness and utility
             c.  customizability of the software
             d.  idea and the extent of achievement of those ideas through the software
             e.  portability and user friendliness
            f.   the development structure including algorithms The registration and submission of abstracts has started.

The last date of submission of abstracts is 10th October 2010.
There are various prize money and goodies to be won. We look forward to your active participation.
